Do you ever wonder what you’d be like now?
If things were different and we’d never met,
Would I still laugh with reckless abandon,
Stumbling through sentences with little thought,
Never looking where I’m going or getting lost,
Being loud with family and friends,
Instead of feeling like I’m an outsider,
Watching my life pass by as if it happened to another.
Yeah, I wonder how to get back to being me,
To being strong, funny and brave,
Where I no longer have a voice silencing me.
A part of me wonders if you’d be different too.
